Friday Night Cramps
Ugh! Friday night was beyond horrible! I had cramps like no other but no spotting thank goodness. It wasn't for a lack of checking either. I swear you have to go the bathroom 100 times more often when you are cramping. Finally Friday was over and the cramps went away. I just hope I never have a repeat of Friday. That was painful and terrifying all in one.
Work Knows!
I have been trying to keep it a secret as long as possible. I hadn't planned on telling work until 12 weeks since we aren't telling anyone until then but plans changed I guess. Last Tuesday I was at work and decided I should tell my boss. A couple of close co-workers know and were having hard times keeping their big mouths shut so I decided to tell the boss. Well my boss is one of the owners and he wanted to tell one of the other owners (his brother and President/CEO of the company). He then wanted to tell everyone in our corporate office. So the president/CEO parades me around the office to each person's office to share the news. Everyone was VERY excited!!! It is soooo much easier now. I don't have to worry about keeping the strange things I do or the nausea under cover. One stress level lowered! :)

Grocery Store - First Experience
Today Hubs and I tackled the grocery store since I had found I was pregnant. We always go to Wal Mart and then Hy Vee. It was stupid of us to go to Wal Mart at 11 am on a Saturday let a lone the Saturday before Super Bowl Sunday. Anyways we are walking through and I think I smelled every smell I could of in that store today and the nausea was in full swing! Screaming babies and smells aside I made it through. Hy Vee was a lot better but I was still glad to get home. At least I got some good munchies for a while! :)

Signs and Symptoms
Tomorrow I am 6 weeks pregnant! 6 weeks away from telling the world and 4 weeks away from my first OB appointment. Today I have a snow day so I am catching up on some posts I've missed. I've been reading Your Pregnancy Week by Week and What to Expect When You're Expecting. In the Week by Week book it gives 8 signs/symptoms your pregnant.
- Miss Menstrual Period
- Nausea - With or Without Vomiting
- Food Aversions or Food Cravings
- Fatigue
- Frequent Urination
- Breast Changer and Tenderness
- New Sensitivity or Feelings in Your Pelvic Area
- Metallic Taste in Your Mouth
- Yep! Yep! Yep! This is second after urination. It is AWFUL! It's constantly there and just makes it seem like I have bad breath all the time.
We're Pregnant!
We tested, and tested and tested again! All in total I think I had 7 positive pregnancy tests over 7 days. I know overkill but I just wanted to be sure. I called on the 24th to my family doctor and she got me in the next day. She confirmed that we are pregnant and gave me an EDD of September 29, 2011! She did hear my extra heart beat so I have been to the Dr. a lot lately. Friday I saw a Cardiologist who then ordered an echo and a holter monitor test. I got the results of the Echo yesterday and everything is good there. I then went in yesterday to have the monitor put on for 24 hours. Being pregnant is uncomfortable to begin with but having 5 wires hooked to you with really sticky circles all night long really sucked! Oh well I was able to take them off so hopefully everything is good now!
Gma and Gpa L came up on Friday right before I had to go to my echo. Before we left for the appointment I brought out two Valentine's Day bags and said I had found some cute little items for Valentine's Day for them. I got the camera ready and boy were they excited! I think you can tell by Gma L's face - she was shocked!
Then it was on to Gma and Gpa W and Aunt C. This group knew we were trying but I had lied to my mom earlier in the week that it wasn't this month and we would keep trying. They came up on Sunday and pulled the same Valentine's Day gift bags.
Aunt C was so excited she started crying! She's been giving me crap for a while so she's really excited. Now we just need to get her engaged and we'll be all good! Telling the families was so much fun. They were all so happy and excited!! Now I have to wait until 12 weeks to tell everyone... that is going to be a long wait but a fun ride!
