Maternity Pictures!

Back on July 10th we had some maternity pictures taken.  I was between 28 and 29 weeks and it was HOT!  Jenna Carnahan Photography took them at Water Works Park in Des Moines.  It was well over 100 degrees with the heat index and the humidity was unreal!  She posted a preview picture today so I thought I should add it!

I had really wanted to get some since I don't have many pictures of Scott and I together that I really like.  I did 4 clothing changes.  We started off with just some normal (fully clothed) shots and then went on to get some belly shots!  I really like this picture because you can't see my belly button!  I can't wait to get the rest in the mail shortly!!!!

31 Weeks - Slacker, Again.

So I might be a slacker but Baby L is still the size of a squash!

•How far along?: 31 Weeks
•Current Weight: 186

•Total weight gain: 12 lbs

•How big is baby?: The size of a squash
•Maternity clothes?: Yes - can't really wear regular shirts anymore and maternity pants are starting not to fit as well in the belly.
•Movement: He is very active - Scott and I both felt him for a good 30 minutes today.
•Stretch marks?: I think 1 on my left side... :(
•Sleep?: Comes and goes on how much I get
•Symptoms?: heartburn, rib and back pain.
•Food aversions?: Nothing really at the moment.
•Food cravings?: Chocolate covered pretzels!  YUM
•Labor signs?: BH - but no real contractions. 
•Belly button in or out?: in still!
•What I miss: steak!  - only tonight as I watched Scott eat a really good medium rare steak!  I hate them done!
•What I'm looking forward to: Shower next weekend and getting our maternity pictures in the mail!
•Best Moment this week: Hanging out with Kendra P. who is 20 weeks pregnant now and showing for baby clothes all weekend!
•Milestone: Oliver was in his first movie! The Morning After - staring his father!  Can't wait to see it on Thursday!



30 Week Bump!

The last 2 are both pictures at 31 weeks.  I look like I smuggled a bowling ball in the bottom picture! :)

This heat stinks!

I'm stuck inside listening to Scott mow the yard.  We just got back from Colorado where it was gorgeous all week and now we are back in Iowa.  This is what we came home to...

We are in a heat advisory until 9 pm on Thursday but it looks like that may be extended.  Those temps look bad but with the heat index at 110+ and the humidity even worse I don't want to go outside unless is 100% necessary.  :(



29 Weeks!

•How far along?: 29 Weeks
•Current Weight: ???

•Total weight gain: Not sure I haven't been on a scale for the last week.

•How big is baby?: The size of a squash
•Maternity clothes?: Yep!
•Movement: He is very active.
•Stretch marks?: Not yet...
•Sleep?: painful
•Symptoms?: Growing belly and awful rib pain!
•Food aversions?: Nothing really at the moment.
•Food cravings?: Sweets
•Labor signs?: Nope.
•Belly button in or out?: It's getting so shallow! It was pretty deep to begin with so I don't know what is going to happen.
•What I miss: a good nights sleep! :)
•What I'm looking forward to: Shower in a couple weeks!
•Best Moment this week: Passing my 3 hr GTT!!!  No GD for this pregnant lady! 
•Milestone:  Oliver went on his first vacation to Colorado!!!

28 Weeks - Only 12 to go!

•How far along?: 28 Weeks
•Current Weight: 182

•Total weight gain: 8 lbs

•How big is baby?: The size of an eggplant
•Maternity clothes?: Yes. I still like wearing regular shirts since the make the belly pop a little more!
•Movement: He is very active, especially today! Sometimes it's kicks but a lot of times it just feels like him rolling around.
•Stretch marks?: Not yet...
•Sleep?: Getting more and more difficult
•Symptoms?: Growing belly and awful rib pain!
•Food aversions?: Nothing really at the moment.
•Food cravings?: Sweets
•Labor signs?: Nope.
•Belly button in or out?: It's getting so shallow! It was pretty deep to begin with so I don't know what is going to happen.
•What I miss: Not getting soooo hot at night and sleeping on my back and right side.
•What I'm looking forward to: Maternity pictures on Sunday!
•Best Moment this week: I am changing this to the worst moment... I failed my 1 hr GTT test and cried like a baby at the dr.'s office. 
•Milestone:  only 12 weeks to go!
